I made a Treasury on Etsy

I haven't done on of these Treasury things in quite a while. Fortunately, I was in the right time at the right place today and was able to snag one. Picking amazing talent is tough when you have so much to choose from, so I stuck with my homies and featured my Etsy Dallas buddies. Check them out. They all rock! Oak Cliff Earth Day Craft Show

Last weekend was the super super Oak Cliff Earth Day Festival. I had a ton of fun hanging out with some awesome artsy folks and doing my thing. Oh, and I took some pics....here: enjoy!My booth got a face lift this time around! I was pretty happy with how it turned out. Unfortunately I didn't get any cool actions shots of me in it....oh well, next time. There be my Etsy Dallas girls, Stephanie of Tefi Designs and Brenda of B'licious. Etsy Dallas Beer-B-Q!!

On Sunday, May 18th Etsy Dallas will kick off the summer season with a festive trunk show at the home of one of its members, Larry, a.k.a. the Kessler Craftsman.

Etsy Dallas’ first annual Beer-B-Q will boast over 20 local artists and crafters selling their handmade goods. Shop for jewelry, stationery, photography, bags, hair accessories, glass art, soap and bodycare, clothing, home décor, and so much more!

Customers will also be greeted with the delicious smell of grilled meats and veggies, cold beer on tap, soda, and live music – all free to the public! The first lucky 25 customers will receive a goodie bag chock full of promo items and coupons.

Etsy Dallas will also offer a Make-&-Take booth for all ages. Customers can explore their creative side for free and experience first-hand the joy of the handmade way! All unused supplies will be donated to a local children’s charity.

So bring your appetite, your creativity, and your support for local artists and crafters, and get ready for a day full of handmade food, music, and fun with Etsy Dallas!

Etsy Dallas Crafting Circle

Happy Kitty Bunny Pony Bathroom

I love the book Happy Kitty Bunny Pony! It's filled with cute delightful images to turn any bad day into an explosion of happiness. I found a copy at a Half Priced Books Store at a really cheap rate, so I decided I'd have my fun with it. And what better than to plaster some happiness on my blank bathroom wall. This was an cheap easy and fun project that I want to share with you, So grab your art project hat and get to creating! yay!

Materials:
1. Picture Book that you don't mind destroying
2. a bunch of frames, different sizes and styles(thrift store finds are great. My most expensive one was $1)
3. Paint
4. Scissors

I started by arranging my frames on the floor to get the perfect arrangement. I made sure most of them were touching another frame to give the illusion that this was one big piece of art.

Then once that was set, I chose a color pallet that went along with the bright happy colors in the book. Some of the frames I left their original color, but others I spray painted. Be sure you take out the glass from the frame before spray painting (I'm reminding you, because sometimes I make this mistake, oops).

Then once it's all dry, take your picture book and cut out your favorite images to fit in the frames. Most times frames have a cardboard insert that you can use as a sizing guide when cutting out your images.

When you're finished pop in all those pics and get to hanging!!!! And add that super fun to any room in your house!

It snowed in Texas?!?!

Yeah, snow! I threw snow balls at people and tried to make a snowman, which just turned into a giant snowball to throw. yay!

Screen Print Time! WoZaaah!

I busted out some screen printing tools and went to town! check it out! fun!

My man and I have been working on this painting for the past few months. We decided to do a collaborative fun painting that will never be finished. This is probably the 20th layer of paint on it. It's been through acrylics, spray paint, graph paper, collage, polyurethane, glass gems, hot glue, water, coffee, and beers, and it's still going.
