Esty Dallas Trunk show!

The Esty Dallas Trunk show was so much fun! I hung out with some really cool artists for 4 hours at the South Side Building on Lammar in Dallas. We had treats, a raffle and tables of boss crafties. Yeah, that's right, I said boss.

This was my last show of the holiday season. I'm relieved, but sad too. I had much fun at craft fairs this holiday season. Now i'm taking a break!! yeah! I think i'll do some personal artwork! Yay! fun!

Carroll High School Craft Fair

This past weekend I had tons of fun at the Carroll High School Craft Fair. I met some really cool artists and people. My momma helped me out this time around. She the pretty lady smiling in the photo. We had a blast hanging out for two crazy days.
But now it's time to get to work again. I'm doing Stitch in Austin this next weekend, and it's gonna be great! Can't wait!!!! Oh so many things to do before then! I'm getting on it! yay!

With two big craft festivals coming up in November, I've been swamped trying to prepare. I've been making etched wooded necklaces like crazy. Hopefully soon I will get some spare time and be able to post some new ones to my Etsy shop. Oh my, I've been so busy! Eap!

Friday: make art, decorate cat, wear silly glasses

Ok, so it's Friday night. I'm making more etched wood necklaces and being silly. I have no way to play my music while I work (no cd/MP3 player, my itunes is broke, i'm too lazy to go grab a radio...) so I'm doing my best to focus without it. haha....me, focus haha. So...blah blah blah, I made my cat a charm with his name on it, then I put on these really hip glasses so my eyes wont burst into flames when i'm burning wood, and then I decided to post to my blog. So um, yeah, i'm getting alot done.

That's all. Unless you want to sport a pair of my featured glasses. Head over to the nearest Home Depot or Lowes and grab you some. You'll be the coolest kid on the playground! Or just that awkward old lady/man hanging out with the young'ns. weirdo. Blah!

Hey! I'm working work work!

If this is work, work is awesome!!!! I'm pounding away the hours today burning up some yummy wood to make a bazillion pendants! yay! I want to wear all of them!!!! But not at once. That might look silly....or maybe not. I'll start a new trend. COVER YOUR BODY IN MY PENDANTS!!!! haha. It would take me a very long time just to make a pair of pendant pants. I'd probably stop and call them shorts. shorty shorts. ha! Oh no! I think the fumes are getting to me. weeee!

Woo Hoo!! I'll be headed to Austin!!

I just got the email confirmation that I will be participating in Stitch this November!!! This is a great Indie Craft Fair with tons of talent! I'm so happy to be a part of it. Check out the other artists that are participating on their blog, and learn more about stitch on their website.

It's Saturday! I'm being really lazy today. But I just drank some coffee, so this may change. Weeee! And here's a new item in my shop! I call it the Green Stripped Leaf Necklace. I hand etched and painted it! woo hoo! Yeah, I feel that coffee kicking in!

I'm on a poster!!! Yay!

Etsy had a poster contest going on for the past month or so. They invited all Etsyians to build posters out of other people's artwork. In the end they picked 60 posters to produce 100 of each. They plan to give them away as promotional prints at festivals. I'm really happy someone picked my work to be in it! Check out all the poster entries here. They're really cool! A happy day at the craft fair

This past Saturday I did a craft fair in Dallas. It was really great. I met some really great artists and got to display some new work that I've been working my butt off on.

This is NoRaHzArt, a really cool gal that I met at the fair. She has an Etsy site too, and what wonderful work she has. She makes lovely jewelry, paintings, and prints. This was my first time to meet a fellow Etsyian. Check out her work, it's great. This is my favorite piece. Beautiful!

A Trip Back to High School

So I was digging through some old artwork and I found these pieces. They're from way back in my high school days. Well, not that way back. I think they're fun. It's kinda weird looking back though, because it's feels like someone else made these, not me. I don't know why. I remember painting them, and what was going on in my life at the time, but yet they seem so detached from who I am today. Strangeness. Oh well, I share them with you. Hope you enjoy. I'm off to create new masterpieces, and who knows, maybe I'll look back at my those someday and think the same thing.

Cats like to stick their heads in cups

That's my little Lulu with her head in a cup. She's special. And that's her old collar behind her. She ripped it off in a wild kitten fit, and now I think she prefers a cup around her neck. I guess it's in fashion. I dunno.

My My look How Much I've grown

My first post on this blog was of my workspace. Now looking back at it, I think it's so whimpy compared to what I've got now. And that was only a little less than four months ago. Eap! Where will I be in a year from now? If I've gained this much stuff in 4 months, I will have my whole house filled with arts and crafts in one year. Hmm...maybe it's time to get a bigger house, or I can just start pitching tents in the backyard with art stuff in them. hmmmm........
Yeah...I need more stuff! Much better than a formal dinning room!

Here's what I've been up to

As you can see, I'm not finished. This is typical. But it's ok because I have no time limit. yay! I could take a day, or a few years....whatever I want. I'm in charge of these paintings, and they have no say in the matter. ha!

Hope you're having a happy monday! I sure am. I went on a little bloggy stroll this morning through some of my fav blogs and I ran into my work on Freshly Blended. "Whoop whoop!" I exclaimed loudly, as my body filled with joy. I've been featured a few times on blogs, but I knew about the feature before they posted them. This one, I wasn't aware, so it was a happy shock! yayayay!

Friday Night Dinner

Here's me eating dinner. POPCORN!!!! Lots of butter! Yum. I'm taking a break from painting more canvases to tell you this. Yes, it's important. There WILL be a quiz later, take notes. And you, in the back of the class, STOP PICKING YOUR NOSE! gross. I feel like your mother. I'm not, I'm the blog writer/poster of pictures. It's a hard job and I don't need your distractions. I quit! I'm going to to play on YouTube while I finish the rest of this tasty tasty popcorn.......yummmy!!
