Photo Shoot'n Away
Dylan and I spent this past Monday photographing some of his new tees for DowdyStudio. Since the budget is low and we can't afford to pay super high fashion models, we use our available resources. Which means we act as models.
It's pretty fun, but not so glamorous as you might think. A day of photoshoot'n is tough work. We act as the model, photographer, lighting assistant and creative director all at once. Sometimes it can get a little silly with me (mainly) tripping over lighting cords and making ridiculous faces at the camera.
I took the liberty of posting some of the more unprofessional photos we took that day. The ones where we stepped a little outside of the model role and basically were making goofy faces. hehe. I'm sure we thought we were total hotties while shooting, but the film reveled something a bit more fun! yay!

I made this Holiday Spotlight for Karma Crochet last night. It was posted on the Etsy Dallas Blog today. I'm really happy people like it. It was pretty easy considering the spotlighted items were in themselves very beautiful. I just created some uncomplimentary typography and pretty floral drawings to go with it.

Yay! Featured in the Quick!
The DFW Quick did a little feature of some of us Etsy Dallas members! So cool! We're all very excited. Be sure you get your copy before next Thursday to frame on your wall.
They choose my little chubby owl necklace to feature. Too bad he's already gone to a good home (me sad). I'll have to work on making him some siblings for the Urban Street Bazaar and 2nd Annual Deck the Halls Show next weekend. See you there!

The Girlie Show Recap
If you missed the Girlie Show last weekend in Oklahoma City, you missed out big time. This was a two-day show, Friday night 8-12am and Saturday 12-5pm, and it rocked the whole time!
There were tons of amazing artists filling the 2nd floor of the Oklahoma City Public Farmer's Market. Also amazing yummy snacks to eat, great drinks, and really awesome music played all through the building.
They gave me a really nice booth space. It was more space than I'm usually used to working with, but I loved it. Now I'm spoiled.
I'll be doing another post later with all the goodies I bought at the show. I was so excited to take home my loot! yay!
